EVBox Smart Charging safely balances the energy consumption between your electric car charging station and other devices on site. This ensures the most efficient charging of your electric car, based on the available power capacity.

Applications:

• Peak shaving: Adaptation of the maximum power capacity of the charging station according to requirements. 
• Load balancing (hub-satellite configuration): Equal distribution of the available capacity to all active charging points at one location.
• Dynamic load balancing: Analyses the available capacity based on the energy consumption on the property and distributes the energy to all active charging stations. 
• Own consumption from local energy production (e.g. solar): Using local, self-generated energy (e.g. from solar panels on your roof) to charge electric vehicles.

A Smappee app subscription is required to enable users to set up smart load control at their site, monitor their energy consumption, obtain data on EV charge and use their solar production. However, a subscription is not absolutely necessary to be able to use the overload protection/dynamic load balancing after the initial installation.

The subscription to the Smappee App is free for 6 months and then users have to pay a fee (€ 24 for 2 years) to continue using the app. This fee is charged by our partner Smappee.
