Designed for better self-consumption: Smart energy products from SolarEdge manage the loads and thus increase the self-consumption of a PV system. They are designed to control a heat pump (via SG-Ready contact) or a heating rod. The SolarEdge heating rod, heat pump and accessories can then transmit power via different methods:

• By schedule (schedule programme): A fixed time is determined at which the device will start. It does not matter whether the PV system delivers enough power or not.
• Via the intelligent saving function (Smart save programme): A Smart Energy solution, that automatically controls a heating boiler or a water pump to increase self-consumption. To do this, the standby time and the operating time of the consumer loads are determined and the appliances should be running at this time.
