Reflection is an important factor in the power output of solar modules. When sunlight hits the surface of a module, some of it is reflected and lost. The higher the reflection rate, the lower the amount of light that can be absorbed by the module, resulting in a loss of power. To mitigate this, anti-reflective coatings can be applied to the surface of the module to reduce the reflection rate and improve the efficiency of the PV system.
