Tech tip

The key factor for the installation is the sheet thickness: at least 0.5 mm for steel sheet and at least 0.7 mm for aluminium and Rheinzink. Below these thicknesses, the groove in the fixing screw does not provide sufficient hold. Tighten the M10x1 fixing screw to 18 Nm, and the clamps and connectors to 15 Nm (M8) or 30 Nm (M10) – do not rely on feel, as an over-tightened groove is irreparable.

Two further restrictions from the installation instructions: a maximum of 3 m or 3 modules in the direction of the rail, and a minimum distance of 20 mm from the end of the profile to the clamp. Alumero does not recommend use near the sea due to the risk of corrosion, and the aluminium structure must only come into contact with substances with a pH value between 4.5 and 8.5. Work on the roof covering should be carried out by a roofer.

Alumero easySEAM TPF angled standing seam clamp with quick-fit adapter

With the TPF angled standing seam clamp from the Alumero easySEAM system, you can install PV panels on standing seam roofs without penetrating the roof membrane. The clamp is placed on the seam, and the fixing screw presses against the seam – the roof membrane remains intact and existing roof warranties are retained. The quick-fit adapter is pre-assembled at the factory; you simply fit the support profile directly onto it.
