Tech tip

The manufacturer specifies the borehole diameter, installation depth and tightening torque in the anchor’s approval certificate and fitting instructions – make sure you have these to hand before installing the anchor for the first time; they are not shown here. Drill the hole deeper than the intended installation depth and blow out the drill cuttings: any residue at the bottom of the borehole will prevent the anchor from reaching the required depth, which reduces its load-bearing capacity. Drive the anchor in at a steady, low speed; do not use an impact driver.

The MULTI-MONTI-plus screw anchor (Heco) is screwed directly into a pre-drilled hole and is immediately load-bearing – with no curing time and no expansion pressure. The reinforced concrete thread cuts its own internal thread into the building material. Head shape: Hexagonal head with pressed-on washer, external hex drive SW 13, material: carbon steel, blue galvanised (A2K).
