Tech tip

You should select the length based on the thickness of the insulation, not the wall thickness – add together the insulation, the profile overlap and the required screw-in depth into the substrate. Drill hole diameter, embedment depth, edge distances and tightening torque are specified in the building authority approval Z-21.2-2130 and the manufacturer’s installation instructions: for façade fixings, this must be verified; do not rely on experience alone. Start drilling at a low speed and blow out the drill hole beforehand – drill dust at the bottom of the hole reduces load-bearing capacity. Separate values apply to perforated blocks; check the substrate beforehand.

K2 Spacer Anchor Screw RDS-CA 10x310

The RDS-CA 10x310 spacer anchor screw allows you to fix a secondary aluminium mounting system at a distance from masonry or concrete – leaving the insulation layer in between unaffected. It serves as a mounting system for the K2 InsertionRail in the K2 WallPV system, i.e. for PV installations on the façade. The length depends on the thickness of the insulation material: this variant covers 310 mm. The material is A4 stainless steel, with a surface that is pickled, passivated and slip-coated.
