Installation: Insert the metal roof panel and secure it with a nail or screw; determine the position of the roof hook; stick the foam wedge in place; fit the roof hook; lay the tiles. Finally, shape the lead apron at the bottom and, if present, the lead corner at the top right.
Important: Marzari recommends a minimum roof pitch of 18°. Cut the foam wedge into an L-shape so that the padding wraps round the roof hook – an incorrectly fitted foam wedge will cause problems later on. If necessary, you may bend the upstand forwards, but the water-repellent edge must remain functional. Before installation, peel off the protective film from the colour-coated panel.
Before ordering, check that the panels fit your tiles correctly: the panels have been tested for standard roof coverings; a careful suitability check is essential, particularly for clay tile roofs. When surveying the roof, pay attention to the batten thickness and select roof hooks that match the rafter height and tile coverage length.

In fact, the usual flexing and tapping of the roof tiles is officially expressly prohibited. A tricky situation for the tradesman, who is the last specialist in the trade to take responsibility. Yet the solution is very simple. Marzari metal roof tiles are available for many types of tile and in matching colors. Installation is comparatively easier, cleaner and faster. Replacing the lower tile before fixing the roof hook also eliminates all overload problems in snowy regions in advance. Consequential damage due to tile breakage and water ingress is no longer to be feared. The foam wedge included in the scope of delivery prevents rain and snow from penetrating through openings in the top tile.
