Description
SMA ENERGY METER-20 Power Meter
The smart power meter for PV systems and storage systems determines the electrical energy flows at the grid connection point or upstream of the PV Inverter with phase-accurate and net metering. The measurement data is transmitted to the SMA devices via the local network using the SMA SPEEDWIRE interface.

SMA inverters of types SB 1.5-40/41 to SB 5.0-40/41 and STP 3.0 to 10.0 can receive data directly from the SMA ENERGY METER, enabling dynamic control of, for example, 70%. Similarly, the SMA SB Storage and the new SMA SUNNY ISLAND -12/13 can receive data from the SMA ENERGY METER. This means that an SMA HOME MANAGER 2.0 is not strictly necessary.
