Tech tip

There are two figures you need to note down before you go up onto the roof. Firstly, the tightening torque for the bracket fixing: 15 Nm – don’t rely on feel, but use a torque wrench; otherwise, you’ll compromise the structural integrity for which you bought the bracket. Secondly, the height adjustment: in the roof batten area this is 45 to 55 mm, in the rail area 30 mm, and the tile overlap length is up to 95 mm. If this isn’t sufficient on an uneven roof, shim with the Uni shim plate (803606) in 2.5 mm increments – this is the neat way to do it, rather than continuing to cut the tiles to size. If you regularly need to remove a lot of material from the tile, take a look at the EF35 Eco: same hook, but a flatter bracket at 6 mm instead of 8.5 mm.

Alumero easyPITCH EF35 roof hook

The EF35 is the new standard roof bracket in the easyPITCH system for tiled roofs. It is adjustable in three directions and accommodates mounting rail 37 to 45 via a quick-release mechanism – simply insert, tighten, and carry on. The bracket is 40 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick; the base plate measures 111 x 93 mm and is fixed with six Ø 9 mm screw holes. It is made from EN AW 6005A-T6 aluminium with A2-70 stainless steel screws.
