Kostal & Dyness Retrofit S – Battery retrofit for existing PV systems
With the Kostal & Dyness Retrofit S, an existing Photovoltaic system can be easily expanded to include a Battery storage system – without any modification to the existing PV Inverter. The package combines the Kostal PLENTICORE BI 25 G3, an AC-coupled battery Inverter, with 6 Dyness Stack100 battery modules, each with a capacity of 5.12 kWh. This results in an usable storage capacity of around 29.2 kWh.
As the battery voltage with 6 modules (approx. 307 V) is still below the threshold required for full inverter output, the battery-side AC power is 12.3 kW (instead of the base output of 25 kW). This makes the package ideal for smaller commercial premises or blocks of flats with moderate power requirements. For higher power requirements, we recommend Retrofit M or L.
