SMA Storage XL Indoor with 197 kWh and 50 kW
The SMA Storage XL Package is the new generation of SMA’s proven commercial storage solutions and the successor to the discontinued SMA Commercial Storage Solution. With the Storage XL platform, SMA is providing a completely newly developed, scalable system solution for commercial and industrial applications.
Compared to the previous solution, SMA now relies exclusively on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology instead of NMC. This results in higher cycle stability, improved thermal safety and a significantly longer service life. At the same time, the system architecture remains flexible and future-proof.
The Storage XL series is available in several variants:
- Indoor systems with an identical storage capacity of 89 kWh and different inverter outputs (30 and 50 kW).
- Outdoor systems with active climate control, a storage capacity of 107 kWh and two power ratings (30 and 50 kW).
- Large-capacity variants with 197 kWh for indoor and outdoor applications, each with 50 kW output.
All variants are based on the Sunny Tripower Storage X as the battery inverter, feature an integrated SMA System Manager and are fully integrated into SMA Energy Management powered by ennexOS.
This variant represents the large indoor solution in the Storage XL series. With a storage capacity of 197 kWh and 50 kW output, it is suitable for high energy demands and long storage cycles.
An energy meter is required for operation and is not included in the scope of delivery.
Commissioning may only be carried out by certified installers. You can find the link to register here.
Alternatively, it is possible to have SMA carry out the commissioning (item no. 11048)
Commissioning of the SMA Commercial Storage Solution must take place no later than 2 months after delivery (ex-works SMA). If the latest possible commissioning date is foreseeably unfeasible, please contact us or SMA to reschedule the delivery accordingly.
