Tech tip

The difference compared with the easySPEED support lies in the base: the green roof base positions the support on the green roof in such a way that the vegetation layer underneath is preserved. Two factors are crucial here in determining the support’s service life. Firstly, the choice between large and small: This determines how much air remains between the lower edge of the module and the substrate – if there is too little, the vegetation will grow into the modules, leading to shading and increased maintenance. The correct size is determined by the design and the planned installation height of the green roof, not by gut feeling. Secondly, the pH value: aluminium must only come into contact with media whose pH lies between 4.5 and 8.5 – for substrates and drainage layers, it is worth consulting the data sheet for the green roof system.

Alumero easyGREEN Large Support

The Large Support is fixed to the base plate and, via a movable adapter, sets the module pitch at around 10°. The clamping profile and the screws for fixing it to the base plate are included. The green roof base rests the support on the green roof without displacing the vegetation layer. The materials used are aluminium EN AW 6005A T6 and 6063 T66, combined with A2-70 stainless steel.
